First Hand Experience: Training with Ivan

About seven months ago, I woke up one morning wanting to get stronger, develop healthy habits (both eating and exercise), and lose some weight. I thought that I’d have to join a gym, get a trainer, hire a nutritionist, and basically, spend 24/7 being miserable to do it. But a few days later, I was scrolling Instagram and saw a post from Jocasta Almgill about her 10-Week Trim Down and how great she felt and looked afterwards. Immediate thoughts: “results not typical” and “I don’t have the time to work out every day, all day” and “I don’t want to starve myself.” But I decided to reach out to her coach, Ivan De Fitness, anyway. From my first call with Ivan, I trusted him. I trusted him to understand what I wanted, to know what I needed to do, and to put together a plan that I’d 100% commit to. I remember the day he uploaded my first phase: I was so surprised to see that there were only three gym sessions in there, two cardio, and that I could basically eat whatever I wanted as long as I struck to the macronutrient break-down he provided. I had sent Ivan pictures of my home gym; he used those to put together workouts that I could do at home; cardio was a mix of the exercise bike and the elliptical, and then once I decided I was ready for it, running. Ivan let me guide the pace at which I trained but provided support and guidance along the way. During the 10-Week Trim Down, I lost 23 lbs (10.4 kg), dropped three trouser sizes, and started gaining visible muscle strength. But most importantly, I gained confidence. Confidence that I had what it takes to change my habits to get strong. In those 10 weeks, Ivan completely changed my outlook on health and fitness and helped me become the best version of myself. I went on to do the 11-20 Week Continuation program (another 25 lbs (11.3 kg) and three sizes down) and am now happily doing the De Fitness Maintenance Program. Want to chat more about my experience? Ask Ivan for my contact info, I’m always happy to share. -Elizabeth, London.
